The Interpreter is the daily blog of the Lowy Institute for International Policy in Sydney, the most important think tank on international relations in Australia. According to the the only global ranking of publications on international relations, The Interpreter counts among the 50 most widely read blogs worldwide and the five top blogs in Asia.
My contributions in The Interpreter most often deal with issues of importance both in Europe and in Australia, such as commodities and their trading but also general perspectives on Europe and on Australia. To the frequent and ongoing discussions in Australia regarding the postion of that country to the rest of Asia-Pacific, my regular comments add the perspective from Europe where the there is growing awareness of the crucial importance of this region for the rest of the world in the 21st century.
